TL;DR — The short version
All tools run entirely in your browser. We never receive the data you enter into any tool.
We collect basic anonymous analytics (page views, country) to understand traffic — not to profile you.
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads.
We don't sell your data. We don't have much to sell.
You can opt out of ad personalisation at any time via Google's tools.

01
Who We Are

ToolStack ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at toolstack.com and its associated tool pages. ToolStack provides free browser-based utility tools to the public at no charge.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website. By using ToolStack, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

02
What Data We Collect

Information you provide

The only personal information we actively collect is what you voluntarily submit via our Contact form — specifically your name, email address, and message. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

Automatically collected data

When you visit ToolStack, standard web analytics data is collected automatically. This includes:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website (how you found us)
  • Browser type and operating system (anonymised)
  • Country and approximate region (not precise location)
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

This data is anonymised and aggregated. It cannot be used to identify you personally and is used only to understand how people use our site so we can improve it.

What we do NOT collect

Important: We never collect the data you enter into our tools. Passwords you generate, invoices you create, text you analyze, health metrics you enter — none of this is ever transmitted to our servers. It stays entirely in your browser.
03
How Your Tool Data is Handled

Every tool on ToolStack — ToolStack, ToolStack, ToolStack, ToolStack, ToolStack, ToolStack, and ToolStack — is built to run entirely client-side. This is a deliberate architectural decision, not a marketing claim.

"Client-side" means all processing occurs in your web browser on your own device. When you type a password into ToolStack, generate an invoice in ToolStack, or enter your weight into ToolStack, that data never leaves your device and never touches our servers.

You can verify this yourself: disconnect your internet connection after a page loads and most tools will continue to function normally, because they require no server communication.

Downloaded files (such as PDF invoices or QR code images) are generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device. We do not receive copies of these files.

04
Cookies & Advertising

Our cookies

ToolStack itself uses minimal cookies — primarily for analytics (see Section 5) and to remember any site preferences you set. We do not use tracking cookies for profiling or behavioral targeting.

Google AdSense

ToolStack is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to ToolStack and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info. You may also opt out via your browser's cookie settings, though this may affect your experience on other websites.

Analytics cookies

We use analytics software to collect anonymous traffic data as described in Section 2. This may set a cookie to distinguish unique visits. No personally identifiable information is stored in analytics cookies.

05
Third-Party Services

ToolStack uses the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Google AdSense — Advertising network. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google Analytics / similar analytics — Anonymous traffic analysis. Data is anonymised before being stored.
  • Google Fonts — Fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request. Google Privacy Policy
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare) — JavaScript libraries loaded from Cloudflare's CDN for tools like QR generation and PDF creation. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any other third parties beyond those listed above. We do not use data brokers, remarketing platforms, or social media tracking pixels.

06
Data Retention

Contact form submissions (name, email, message) are retained for up to 12 months for the purpose of correspondence, then deleted.

Anonymous analytics data (page views, country, browser type) may be retained indefinitely in aggregated form, as it contains no personal information.

Since we do not collect tool usage data, there is no tool data to retain or delete.

07
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding personal data. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), these include:

  • Right of access — You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure — You can request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to object — You can object to certain processing of your personal data.
  • Right to opt out of sale — We do not sell personal data. There is nothing to opt out of.

Since the only personal data we may hold is information from contact form submissions, requests to access or delete your data will typically be straightforward. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the details in Section 10.

08
Children's Privacy

ToolStack is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us via our contact form, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

09
Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted prominently on the homepage or in our tools.

Continued use of ToolStack after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
